Alex Neil: 'Survival is in our hands'

Alex Neil insists that his Norwich City charges now control their own destiny after their vital win at West Bromwich Albion.

Alex Neil has insisted that Norwich City's fight for Premier League survival is now in their own hands after they claimed a vital win at West Bromwich Albion today.

Robbie Brady provided the game's only goal to lift the Canaries out of the bottom three ahead of tomorrow's relegation six-pointer between Newcastle United and Sunderland.

Norwich still have to face both North-East teams at Carrow Road during the run-in, a fact that Neil is using to instil confidence in his side that they now control their destiny.

"I'll probably watch the game [tomorrow] but, to be honest, it's about us," Neil told Sky Sports News. "We've got it in our hands, we've got both teams to come to our place and we need to win our games. We've done our job today, we need to make sure we do it next week.

"In terms of pressure, I think it's pressure you put on yourself because you want to win, you don't want to be at the bottom end of the table.

"But we targeted these five games that are coming up and today was the first of five, we've managed to get a victory and we need to take that into the games coming up."

Norwich welcome Rafael Benitez's charges in their first league game back after the international break.
