Kelvin MacKenzie's new online sports show Sports Tonight is to launch this month.

Kelvin MacKenzie will launch a new online sports show called Sports Tonight this month.

The former newspaper editor has created a panel-based show aiming to cover all the sports news and events of the day.

Sports Tonight, which will be on air 9-11pm, will primarily focus on football along with a brief round-up of other popular sports.

"Sky Sports News is fantastic at what it does but it still leaves a few crumbs on the table for us serfs to try to create a business," said MacKenzie.

"If you get the right content, the viewers will find you and the figures can go through the roof."

Viewers will be able to contribute their opinions with a live Skype service and comment via Twitter during the show.
