Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will reportedly not take a pay cut in order to secure a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is reportedly reluctant to take a pay cut in order to secure a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The former Arsenal man has failed to make a lasting impact at Old Trafford since his arrival, contributing five goals in 45 appearances for the Red Devils.

Sanchez has spent this season on loan at Italian outfit Inter Milan, where he has registered one goal and two assists during an injury-hit campaign.

According to the Evening Standard, the Chile international is not willing to reduce his mammoth wages in order to secure an exit, and United may struggle to find a buyer amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The report claims that if Sanchez does not change his stance, he could cost the Red Devils a staggering £10.8m in wages with Inter not keen to sign the 31-year-old on a permanent basis.

West Ham United have reportedly made contact with Sanchez's agent, but it seems unlikely they would be able to afford the attacker given his £450,000-a-week salary.
