Wilfried Zaha will reportedly remain at Manchester United next season and fight for a first-team place rather than be loaned back to Crystal Palace.

Wilfried Zaha is expected to fight for his place in the Manchester United side next season rather than be loaned out to another Premier League club.

The 20-year-old England international attacker joined United in a £15m switch from Crystal Palace at the end of last season, but his former club had hoped to bring him back to Selhurst Park on a one-year deal.

West Ham United had also expressed an interest in a temporary move for Zaha, who is initially likely to find himself behind Ashley Young, Nani and Antonio Valencia in the pecking order for spots on the flanks.

However, Sky Sports News reports that Zaha will turn down any loan move and is determined to compete with the aforementioned trio and make an impact in his debut season at Old Trafford.

Zaha scored six goals in 42 Championship appearances in Palace's promotion campaign last year.
