Manchester United are hoping to steal a march on Chelsea and Manchester City in the race for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, according to a report.
The England captain's agonising wait for a first piece of silverware will continue into the 2021-22 campaign, and Spurs' Champions League hopes for next season are also hanging by a thread.
As a result, Kane is being tipped to complete a move to a Premier League rival, and he supposedly wants Spurs to consider any bids for him this summer should they come in.
According to Football Insider, United are stepping up their pursuit of the 27-year-old, as scout Jim Lawlor was present at Elland Road to watch him in action against Leeds United.
A separate report has indicated that United are willing to table an offer of £90m for the Spurs striker, but Daniel Levy is expected to fight tooth and nail to keep him on the books in North London.
Kane drew a rare blank as Spurs lost 3-1 to Leeds on Saturday, but he has been involved in 34 goals during 32 Premier League games this season - scoring 21 and assisting 13 more.
