Kenny Dalglish apologises for his conduct in a post-match interview following Liverpool's defeat at Manchester United.

Kenny Dalglish has apologised for his behaviour during a post-match interview following Liverpool's 2-1 loss at Manchester United yesterday.

The Reds manager reacted angrily when questioned about Luis Suarez refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand in the pre-match rituals.

The Uruguayan has since issued an apology for snubbing Evra's gesture and Dalglish has followed suit by stating his regret over his actions.

"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that," he said.

"All of us have a responsibility to represent this club in a fit and proper manner and that applies equally to me as Liverpool manager.

"Ian Ayre has made the club's position absolutely clear and it is right that Luis Suarez has now apologised for what happened at Old Trafford."

Dalglish returned to Anfield as manager last year following the dismissal of Roy Hodgson.
