Sunday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Cagliari

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Juventus vs. Cagliari.

Following back-to-back wins away from home, Juventus return to Turin on Sunday, when they play host to Serie A strugglers Cagliari.

Having moved within touching distance of top spot in Italy, Juve then emerged victorious in a five-goal thriller against RB Leipzig; meanwhile, Cagliari recently secured their first league win of the season.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Cagliari

Given Cagliari's lack of bite - and their dismal record against Juve in Turin - the hosts should continue their remarkable clean-sheet streak for another 90 minutes.

Juventus appear to be serious Scudetto contenders this season, so they will not let relatively modest opposition stop them in Serie A's Sunday lunchtime contest.

Bologna vs. Parma (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Aiming to bounce back following disappointment on the continent earlier in the week, Bologna will welcome newly-promoted Parma to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara for a Serie A clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Rossoblu were beat at the home of Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night, whilst Parmigiani have been afforded close to an entire week to recover from a domestic defeat last time out.

We say: Bologna 2-1 Parma

Putting up a decent fight at Anfield on Tuesday night, Bologna should be confident of collecting three points from a newly-promoted side on home soil this weekend.

We expect second-tier champions Parma to be competitive at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, although we believe that the Rossoblu will snatch all of the points in the end.

Lazio vs. Empoli (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Sitting side by side on 10 points in the Serie A standings, Lazio and Empoli will meet at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

While the hosts won last week and then enjoyed a resounding success in Europe, their Tuscan counterparts are still unbeaten this season and could now set a new club record.

We say: Lazio 1-0 Empoli

With a rejuvenated attack this season, Lazio have both scored and conceded goals in all of their six Serie A matches, so Empoli's clean-sheet streak should end on Sunday.

The hosts have built up a head of steam over the past couple of weeks, and only post-Europa League fatigue could stop them from taking care of business.

Monza vs. Roma (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After a disappointing midweek defeat in Europe, Roma will visit Monza on Sunday evening, seeking to make it three wins on the spin in Serie A.

The Giallorossi's improved domestic form has not yet been matched by results in the Europa League, while their hosts sit rock-bottom of the standings without a league win so far this season.

We say: Monza 1-2 Roma

The team that have racked up the highest number of shots in Serie A so far - Roma, with 103 - meet the side that have attempted the fewest (Monza, 35), so it could be one-way traffic on Sunday evening.

The Giallorossi are still a work in progress under new management, but their hosts are bereft of confidence and may have to wait until after the international break to finally win a league game.

Fiorentina vs. AC Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Squaring off after contrasting results in Europe, Fiorentina and AC Milan will meet at Stadio Artemio Franchi for Serie A's Sunday night showdown.

While the Viola eventually scraped past modest Conference League opponents, Milan could not build on their improved domestic form, suffering a second Champions League defeat in two games.

We say: Fiorentina 1-1 AC Milan

Though Milan's domestic form is on the rise, Fiorentina are rarely beaten on Tuscan turf and should be able to resist their visitors from the second city.

The Rossoneri are still vulnerable at the back, so the Viola can score at least once and add another point to their modest Serie A tally.
