Wayne Rooney slams "sloppy" Manchester United

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney claims that the team need to stop conceding "sloppy goals" following Sunday's 4-1 loss to Manchester City.

Wayne Rooney has claimed that Manchester United need to stop giving away "sloppy goals" following Sunday's derby defeat to Manchester City.

The champions were humiliated at the Etihad Stadium as they went down 4-1 in the Premier League.

"It is not good enough," Rooney told MUTV. "We know we have to improve and stop giving these sloppy goals away.

"It is not nice to lose to City. It was a bad result and we are all extremely disappointed."

United return to action on Wednesday when they host Liverpool in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
