Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar has named new Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes as one of the best teammates he has ever had.
Fernandes has had an immediate impact since his January switch to Old Trafford, directly contributing to seven goals in his nine appearances and avoiding defeat in all of his games for the club so far.
Skriniar played alongside the Portugal international at Sampdoria, and the Slovakian international talked up Fernandes's quality despite only spending one season together.
"I think one of my best teammates was Bruno Fernandes," Skriniar said during a Q&A for Inter's official website.
"I always liked him back from our time together at Sampdoria."
Reports suggest that Skriniar could be coming up against Fernandes in the derby next season, with Manchester City among the teams thought to be interested in the £80m-rated defender.
