James Rodriguez hails Javier Hernandez

Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez says that Javier Hernandez "deserves everything that's happening to him" following an impressive run of form.

James Rodriguez has hailed Real Madrid teammate Javier Hernandez following the Mexican's strong run of form.

Hernandez, who joined Real on loan from Manchester United last summer, has largely struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu this season.

However, an injury to Karim Benzema opened up a spot in the XI and Hernandez has responded with three goals in two games – including the winner against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.

"Chicharito was patient and he deserves everything that's happening to him," James told reporters after Hernandez struck a double in Sunday's 4-2 La Liga win at Celta Vigo.

As it stands, Hernandez will return to his parent club this summer, but Real Madrid do have the option to make the move permanent.
