Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that he is pleased with his side's reaction to defeat in midweek as they saw off Swansea City 1-0 on Saturday.
Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game at the Etihad Stadium to move the defending champions up to second in the Premier League table.
"It was important to get three points today after defeat in midweek. We did not play well in the first half because we were so tired and we were better in the second half," Mancini told ESPN.
"In the end the only important thing is the result. If you win you are the best manager, if you lose you are the worst."
City continue their league campaign next Saturday when they travel to West Ham United.
