Brendan Rodgers: 'No-one is mentally stronger than Luis Suarez'

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reveals that no player he has worked with is as strong mentally than striker Luis Suarez.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Luis Suarez is the strongest player mentally he has ever worked with.

Suarez has been in outstanding form this season after missing the first five games of the Premier League campaign following the completion of his suspension for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.

"I can honestly say I've never worked with anyone with the will and strength of desire to actually play football that Luis," Rodgers told reporters.

"I've been fortunate enough to work with some outstanding players, character-wise very strong ones, but I'd say no-one is stronger than him mentally. He's so tough, it's his love of football, he loves playing and training."

Suarez should be in the Liverpool side to face Everton after being rushed back from Uruguay, where he guided his side to the World Cup in their playoff win over Jordan.
