Roberto Martinez wary of Jordan Henderson threat

Everton manager Roberto Martinez warns his players to be wary of Jordan Henderson when they take on Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has urged his players to be wary of the threat posed by Jordan Henderson during this weekend's Merseyside derby.

The Spaniard believes that the Liverpool midfielder is in the form of his life, and is capable of doing as much damage as Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

"Suarez and Sturridge have done what everyone expected, but Liverpool are playing really well and it would be a big mistake for us just to concentrate on the two strikers," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"That would make it really easy for the other players. Steven Gerrard can always influence things, but I think Jordan Henderson is playing his best football since joining Liverpool.

"He offers them a much greater threat in terms of the tactical flexibility he provides. So it would be a big mistake for us just to concentrate on the two strikers."

Everton take on Liverpool at Goodison Park this Saturday.
