Tuesday's Champions League predictions including Liverpool vs. FC Midtjylland

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Tuesday's Champions League matches, including Liverpool vs. FC Midtjylland.

Lokomotiv vs. Bayern (Tuesday, 5.55pm)

Lokomotiv Moscow host Bayern Munich on Tuesday in Group A as the 2020-21 Champions League resumes.

Lokomotiv began their third successive campaign in Europe's elite competition with a respectable 2-2 draw at Red Bull Salzburg last week, with Bayern impressively thrashing Atletico Madrid 4-0 at the Allianz Arena.

We say: Lokomotiv Moscow 0-3 Bayern Munich

Lokomotiv have struggled to lay their mark on Europe's elite competition in recent years, scoring only once in three home group games last season. We cannot see anything beyond a routine Bayern win, with Lokomotiv content to keep the scoreline down.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Shakhtar vs. Inter Milan (Tuesday, 5.55pm)

Inter Milan travel to Kiev on Tuesday, to take on the unlikely heroes of the first Champions League matchday, Shakhtar Donetsk.

In a quick-fire reprise of their Europa League semi-final just two months ago, the Italian giants take on the conquerors of Real Madrid at the Olympic Stadium.

We say: Shakhtar Donetsk 1-2 Inter Milan

Inter got back on track with a regulation victory at Marassi, after a demoralising derby defeat had threatened to derail their campaign before it had really begun and, with Lukaku still unstoppable, can now register a first Champions League win of the season.

Though Shakhtar pulled off one of the shocks of the decade - admittedly it is less than a year old, but there have been plenty of shocks from all angles - repeating the feat may be just a step too far for Luis Castro's depleted side.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Atletico vs. Salzburg (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be looking to bounce back from their heavy Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich when they continue their Group A campaign at home to Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night.

Diego Simeone's side lost 4-0 to Bayern in their group opener last week, while Salzburg started their 2020-21 European campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to Lokomotiv Moscow.

We say: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Red Bull Salzburg

Salzburg are certainly capable of making it a very uncomfortable 90 minutes for Atletico, who will be desperate to bounce back from their heavy defeat to Munich. We are expecting a tight match at the Wanda Metropolitano but fancy Simeone's side to collect all three points courtesy of a two-goal success.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Porto vs. Olympiacos (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Porto will be looking to recover from their opening-day Champions League defeat to Manchester City when they welcome Greek Super League giants Olympiacos to the Estadio do Dragao for Tuesday's showdown.

In contrast, the visitors are aspiring to win their second European game on the bounce following their late 1-0 victory over Marseille last week.

We say: Porto 2-1 Olympiacos

These two sides have established themselves as the dominant forces in their respective leagues, and Tuesday's encounter is poised to be a hotly-contested battle. Porto do have a couple of injury concerns to deal with and have been looking a little shaky in the Primeira Liga, but the Dragons have never lost at home to Olympiacos and we expect that run to continue with a narrow victory on Tuesday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Marseille vs. Man City (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Manchester City will endeavour to make it two wins out of two in the 2020-21 Champions League when they cross the Channel to take on French giants Marseille on Tuesday evening.

In contrast, the hosts marked their return to the pinnacle of club football with a disheartening 1-0 defeat to Greek champions Olympiacos last week.

We say: Marseille 0-2 Manchester City

The unrelenting fixture schedule is sure to affect every team heading into the winter months, and City will most likely make the trip to France without a number of key players this week. Marseille have started to improve their domestic results but a clash with Guardiola's men is a different kettle of fish entirely for the Ligue 1 side, and we are backing the Citizens to march to victory and maintain their 100% start in the Champions League.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Midtjylland (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

FC Midtjylland's first ever away game in the Champions League proper could hardly come at a more glamorous venue as they visit Anfield to take on six-time winners of the competition Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The two sides endured contrasting fortunes on matchday one, with Liverpool edging to a 1-0 triumph away to Ajax and Midtjylland losing 4-0 at home to Atalanta BC.

We say: Liverpool 3-0 FC Midtjylland

It is difficult to see past a Liverpool win in this match, and a fairly comfortable one at that. Midtjylland were a distant second best against Atalanta and this only looks like a more difficult challenge.

Klopp may take the opportunity to rest one or two of his star names, but the hosts should still have enough to make it two wins from two in Group D.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Atalanta vs. Ajax (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Atalanta BC welcome the equally prolific Ajax to Bergamo, in search of another victory to put them in early charge of a challenging Group D.

While the Italian side kicked off an unprecedented second successive Champions League campaign with a 4-0 win away to Danish debutants Midtjylland last week, a Nicolas Tagliafico own goal saw Ajax lose 1-0 at home to Liverpool in their opening game.

We say: Atalanta BC 2-2 Ajax

As both teams can seemingly score at will of late, the safe money is on a score draw in Lombardy.

A mouth-watering clash of flair-filled sides, the technical wizardry of Dusan Tadic, Papu Gomez, et al should assure a steady stream of chances at either end.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
