Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans admits that he hopes to play in the Champions League as speculation over his future continues.

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has revealed that he is keen to play Champions League football amid continued speculation over his future.

Throughout this season the Belgian international has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal understood to be interested in signing him.

The 24-year-old is out of contract with the Foxes in 2023, and if they do not come to terms on a new deal, this summer could be the last chance for the club to make any profit on Tielemans.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has previously refused to rule out the prospect of Tielemans leaving the club this summer, and the player himself has now hinted at a move to a "top club" in Europe.

"I do not worry about it [speculation]. I want to get the most out of myself this season and finish as high as possible with the team. Of course, I want to play in the Champions League, just like any footballer," he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

"Am I ready for a European top club? I am ready to get the best out of my career. We will see what happens next summer, or the summer after that."

Tielemans has made 22 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals throughout the campaign.
