Striker Aaron McLean has returned to Hull City after picking up a hamstring injury while on loan at Birmingham City.
The 30-year-old's short-term loan deal had expired at St Andrew's, but the Blues are currently contemplating a second agreement for the striker, depending on his recovery from injury.
A Birmingham City statement read: "Aaron McLean's emergency loan with Blues has now expired but the club is currently considering a one-month extension.
"The on-loan Hull striker has missed Blues' last two Sky Bet Championship games because of a slight hamstring problem.
"A decision on whether the forward will remain at St. Andrew's will be confirmed by midweek next week and be subject to Hull City's agreement."
McLean made seven appearances during his time with Lee Clark's side.
