Mathias Jorgensen: 'Life is different at Huddersfield Town'

Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Jorgensen admits that life in the Yorkshire town is different to what he previously experienced with Copenhagen.

Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Jorgensen has admitted that he has experienced a different way of life since moving to the Terriers.

Jorgensen has impressed since signing for the newly-promoted side from Copenhagen during the summer, and the centre-back has helped the Yorkshire side sit in 10th place in the Premier League table after 11 games.

However, the Dane - who has won 11 caps for his country - has acknowledged that he has needed to adapt during his early months at the club.

The 27-year-old told bold.dk: "It is of course different. In relation to England, football is a very small thing in Denmark. In a town like Huddersfield, everybody lives and breathes football - especially on Saturdays.

"It's very different from what I've been used to in Copenhagen. There are not as high expectations, and that's one of the things that's new to me. The other two clubs I've been to have been top clubs where there has been a demand for all matches to be won.

"Now I have come to a club where there is hope and everybody works hard for it."

Jorgensen has been an ever-present in top-flight matches this season.
