Gian Piero Gasperini delighted with victory over Sassuolo

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini says his team can improve following their 2-0 victory over Sassuolo.

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini has insisted that his side can get even better following their 2-0 win over Sassuolo.

The Rossoblu moved up to ninth in the Serie A table with their first win in six games and Gasperini said that he was delighted with their performance.

"We saw a good Genoa," he told reporters. "But everything can always be improved.

"The team responded against a good opponent and we did well, especially in the second half.

"We have moved even further from the relegation zone, but it's something we will continue to look at."

Genoa visit Roma in Serie A on Sunday.
