Chelsea captain John Terry has received an offer in the region of £12m to join Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, according to reports.
The centre-half, who is recovering from a muscle injury, has played just six minutes of football since September and is said to be surplus to Antonio Conte's requirements.
According to The Sun, Shenhua are hoping that a one-year deal worth £11.9m after tax, alongside the prospect of being managed by former teammate Gus Poyet, will entice Terry to join the Chinese Super League side in January.
It is also believed that Chelsea would waive any transfer fee for the 36-year-old, who has made close to 500 appearances for the West London club.
Terry's contract at Stamford Bridge runs out at the end of the current season.
