Liverpool are reportedly ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Exeter City youngster Ben Chrisene.

Liverpool have allegedly emerged as favourites to secure a deal for Exeter City youngster Ben Chrisene.

Despite being just 15 years old, Chrisene has already been provided with his first-team debut, which came against Coventry City in the EFL Cup in August.

While the midfielder has since been restricted to substitute outings in the Football League Trophy, his progression has led to interest from Premier League clubs.

According to The Sun, Liverpool are currently leading the race, which features many teams, to agree a deal in the coming months.

The report adds that Chelsea, Southampton and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation, with Exeter prepared to cash in on the prospect should they receive a fee which meets their valuation.
