Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has revealed that the club are "checking" some possible COVID-19 cases ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final first leg with Chelsea.
The Lilywhites were hit by a large-scale coronavirus outbreak back in December, which forced them to forfeit their spot in the Europa Conference League due to postponements.
Conte is now preparing for a reunion with former club Chelsea in the last four of the EFL Cup, but the ex-Blues boss has now revealed another coronavirus scare for the North London club.
"We're checking a couple of situations. We'll see. We are checking a couple of situations about Covid. We are not 100% sure if [the players] going to miss the game," Conte told reporters at his pre-game press conference.
The Lilywhites are also without the injured Cristian Romero and Ryan Sessegnon for the first leg, while it remains to be seen if Steven Bergwijn will be passed fit.
