Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Nottingham Forest: Will Reece James return?

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they play host to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Head coach Enzo Maresca is currently negotiating a number of different competitions by selecting completely different starting lineups.

That worked again on Thursday night as the Blues recorded a 4-2 victory over Gent in their first league-phase fixture in the Europa Conference League.

Resting players is working wonders in reducing the amount of muscle injuries that Chelsea suffered last season, but one key player remains in the treatment room.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of welcoming the East Midlands outfit to the capital.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Having missed the start of the season with a hamstring injury, James recently posted a message of 'see you soon' on social media. However, even if the right-back was in a position to return this weekend, Maresca and the club's medical staff would err on the side of caution and wait until after the international break.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players who are suspended for this fixture.
