UEFA are prepared to allow Wembley to host this season's Champions League final if certain conditions are met, according to a report.

UEFA are reportedly ready to allow Wembley to host this season's Champions League final, under certain conditions.

Manchester City and Chelsea are currently due to meet in Istanbul for the showpiece event on May 29, but Turkey has been placed on the UK Government's 'red list' after a surge in coronavirus cases.

As a result, a switch to a neutral venue in the UK for the all-English final has been mooted, and according to The Sun, UEFA are prepared to let Wembley host the match.

The report adds that the Emirates, Villa Park, St James' Park and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have all been ruled out as potential venues, and Wembley could welcome 22,500 supporters for the game later this month.

However, the Championship playoff final would need to be rearranged for Wembley to host the European showdown, while UEFA also supposedly want guarantees that broadcasters and sponsors will not face quarantine issues in the English capital.

Man City reached the final after a 4-1 aggregate success over Paris Saint-Germain, while Chelsea dumped Real Madrid out of the tournament 3-1 over two legs.
