Chris Hughton laments poor defending in Nottingham Forest loss

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton feels that his side did not defend well enough in their 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton believes that his side failed to show enough resolve in their 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Seagulls took the lead in the 42nd minute through Lewis Dunk, but the visitors responded immediately as Danny Collins converted from a set piece.

Dougie Freedman's men took control of the game in the second half as Henri Lansbury and Ben Osborn found the net, and they managed to see out the win despite a late goal from Beram Kayal.

Hughton told Sky Sports News: "We conceded goals at bad times. It was a game when we had a lot of possession and Forest sat back and played on the counter attack.

"We have to be resilient and in this game we were not. It was disappointing that Forest equalised so soon after we went ahead and we conceded a poor goal."

Brighton are 21st in the Championship table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
