Paul Lambert unsure over Corry Evans, Doneil Henry fitness

Paul Lambert is still unsure whether Corry Evans and Doneil Henry will play any part in Blackburn's meeting with Rotherham, while Darragh Lenihan is also an injury doubt.

Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Lambert has revealed that Corry Evans and Doneil Henry are both injury doubts for Friday night's clash against Rotherham United.

Northern Ireland international Evans was forced off during the 2-0 win over Bristol City last weekend with a slight groin strain, while Henry was ruled out of the Ashton Gate trip altogether.

Darragh Lenihan is also currently struggling with a back problem, with all three players now in a race against time to be declared fit to feature against the Championship strugglers.

"Corry was feeling a bit of his groin but we hope he can train today," Lambert told the club's official website. "Hopefully it will just be a couple of days for Darragh.

"With Doneil, I think he was feeling the effects of training last week so that is why we decided to leave him here. We just had to watch that he didn't break down again, I think that is important.

"If he did break down we'd have to send him back to West Ham and that happened to him the last time. So we'll have to manage him to make sure that he is okay."

Blackburn have made a positive start to life under Lambert by winning two and drawing one of his three games in charge.
