Miroslav Klose's agent claims that the Lazio striker could have joined Barcelona in 2007 instead of moving to Bayern Munich from Werder Bremen.

Miroslav Klose's agent has revealed that the German striker could have joined Barcelona in the summer of 2007.

The 34-year-old, who moved to Lazio in 2011, left Werder Bremen for Bayern Munich that year.

"Klose could have signed for Barcelona several times, but the time when he was closest was in 2007," Alexander Schutt told reporters.

Klose has scored 10 goals in 20 Serie A matches so far this season.
