Richard Witschge: 'Barcelona will beat Ajax'

Former Netherlands midfielder Richard Witschge is certain that Barcelona will beat Ajax in their Champions League clash at Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Former Ajax and Barcelona midfielder Richard Witschge believes that it will be almost impossible for the Dutch outfit to win at Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Barca open their Champions League campaign against Ajax this week in the first ever competitive match between the two teams.

"Barca are the clear favourite against Ajax. It is a very difficult game for Ajax because Barca have, individually, the best players," Witschge told La Xarxa.

"It is not only because Barca are playing at the Camp Nou. If they played in Uzbekistan, they would still be ahead of Ajax.

"Barcelona have the best in the world and Ajax has just sold some of its best players."

Witschge represented Ajax from 1986 until 1991 before spending two seasons with Barcelona.
