Wednesday's Serie A predictions including Inter Milan vs. Napoli

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Inter Milan vs. Napoli.

Salernitana vs. AC Milan (Wednesday, 11.30am)

AC Milan will be bidding to move to within five points of Serie A leaders Napoli when they make the trip to Salernitana on Wednesday.

The Italian champions were last in competitive action on November 13, recording a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, while Salernitana suffered a 3-0 loss to Monza in their last match before the break.

We say: Salernitana 1-2 AC Milan

Milan must keep winning in order to stay in touch with Napoli at a key stage of the season, and we are expecting the reigning champions to navigate their way to an important three points on Wednesday, but they might have to suffer for stages of the contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Sassuolo vs. Sampdoria (Wednesday, 11.30am)

Sampdoria will be bidding to win just their second Serie A match of the 2022-23 campaign when they make the trip to Sassuolo on Wednesday.

A disappointing start to the season has left Sampdoria in 19th position in the table, boasting just six points from 15 matches, while Sassuolo occupy 15th spot, collecting 16 points from their first 15 games.

We say: Sassuolo 1-0 Sampdoria

Both of these sides will have earmarked this match as the chance to put three points on the board, and we are expecting it to be a close match on Wednesday. Sampdoria are very difficult to back at the moment, though, so we are predicting a narrow success for Sassuolo.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Spezia vs. Atalanta (Wednesday, 1.30pm)

Atalanta BC return to Serie A action on Wednesday afternoon looking to kick-start their campaign after a disappointing end to 2022.

At a time when the visitors sit in sixth position in the standings, Spezia are in 17th spot, six points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Spezia 1-2 Atalanta BC

Although Spezia head into this fixture in far better form than their more illustrious opponents, the break came at the wrong time for the home side. Atalanta have had chance to reset, and we feel that the visitors will come through this game with a hard-earned win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Torino vs. Hellas Verona (Wednesday, 1.30pm)

Torino head into Wednesday's Serie A fixture with Hellas Verona looking to strengthen their position in the top half of the standings.

At a time when the home side occupy ninth position, the visitors are rock bottom and will be hoping that the break for the World Cup came at the right time.

We say: Torino 2-1 Hellas Verona

With a new manager in place, Verona will be looking to make a positive impression as they bid to make quick headway up the table. However, we feel that Torino should have too much quality for the bottom-placed side, even if they only edge this game in the closing stages.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Roma vs. Bologna (Wednesday, 3.30pm)

Roma and Bologna will compete in their first competitive matches following the World Cup when they meet in Serie A on Wednesday.

The break came at an unfortunate moment for Bologna, who have won four of their last five league games, whereas Roma claimed just two points from their last three matches.

We say: Roma 2-1 Bologna

The form table would suggest an upset could be on the cards here, but it remains to be seen how relevant recent results are given the amount of time which has lapsed since Serie A's last action.

As such, we can envisage Roma bouncing back into life by edging an entertaining encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Lecce vs. Lazio (Wednesday, 3.30pm)

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri on September 15, 2022© Reuters

Lazio return to Serie A action against Lecce on Wednesday afternoon looking for the win which could move the club into second place in the standings.

Meanwhile, the home side are looking to build on their potential season-defining period before the World Cup, one which moved the club clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Lecce 1-3 Lazio

Given the level of their wins before the World Cup, Lecce will be eager to build on their growing momentum in the race to avoid relegation. However, Lazio would have been happy to have a break from action, and a refreshed side should have too much in the final third for their hosts.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Cremonese vs. Juventus (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic celebrates scoring against Maccabi Haifa on October 5, 2022© Reuters

Aiming to continue their ascent of the Serie A standings, Juventus hope to pick up where they left off before the break, as they visit Cremonese on Wednesday.

Calcio's return after nearly two months away sees the Turin giants targeting a seventh straight league victory, while their hosts are yet to win since returning to the top flight and sit six points adrift of safety.

We say: Cremonese 0-2 Juventus

Juventus last conceded a league goal at the start of October, away to Milan, so on their return to Lombardy this week they will expect to handily take care of business against a toothless Cremonese side. Even with some important players missing, the Bianconeri are more than capable of continuing their streaks of wins and clean sheets.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Fiorentina vs. Monza (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Fiorentina will be aiming to remain in the top half of the table when they host Monza in Serie A on Wednesday.

The visitors, meanwhile, could leapfrog their opponents on goal difference with a heavy victory.

We say: Fiorentina 2-1 Monza

Despite missing arguably their most talented forward in the shape of Gonzalez, we expect Fiorentina to edge an entertaining encounter on Wednesday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Inter Milan vs. Napoli (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti on October 12, 2022© Reuters

Serie A's return from its mid-winter hibernation ends on Wednesday, and a heavyweight contest between two of Calcio's big-hitters sees leaders Napoli clash with Inter Milan at San Siro.

The Azzurri are seeking a first Scudetto for more than 30 years, and paused for the World Cup eight points clear at the top of the table following 11 league wins on the spin. Inter, meanwhile, have stumbled several times on the road and are some 11 points adrift of their southern rivals.

We say: Inter Milan 2-2 Napoli

In their last 24 league games Inter have never drawn - posting 18 wins and six losses during that spell - but now would not be a bad time to start. Though they really need maximum points to start closing the gap to distant leaders Napoli, the visitors' potent attack cannot be kept quiet for a full 90 minutes and a point apiece will have to suffice.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Udinese vs. Empoli (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Udinese boss Andrea Sottil on October 9, 2022© Reuters

Udinese will be aiming to end a winless run of seven league games when they host Empoli in Serie A on Wednesday.

The visitors, meanwhile, could win for the third time in their last four matches.

We say: Udinese 0-0 Empoli

Neither team have exactly been free-scoring in recent matches, so we expect a tight match which may see both managers settle for a point in the end.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
