Team News: Manchester City unchanged for Sevilla test

Vincent Kompany misses out on Manchester City's starting lineup, as Manuel Pellegrini names an unchanged side for the Champions League meeting with Sevilla.

Manuel Pellegrini has opted to stick with a winning formula by naming an unchanged Manchester City side for this evening's Champions League meeting with Sevilla.

That means that skipper Vincent Kompany misses out on a place in the first team once more, despite featuring for national side Belgium last week.

Wilfried Bony is tasked with leading the line, fresh off the back of scoring twice against Bournemouth at the weekend in a comfortable 5-1 win for the Premier League leaders, while Raheem Sterling is also handed a starting spot.

At the back, Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala will feature alongside each other for the first time in Europe's showpiece competition, against a Sevilla side showing three changes from their last outing.

Marco Andreolli, Ever Banega and Yevhen Konoplyanka come in for Thimothee Kolodzieczak, Jose Antonio Reyes and Vicente Iborra.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Otamendi, Mangala, Sagna; Toure, Fernandinho; Navas, De Bruyne, Sterling; Bony
Subs: Caballero, Kolarov, Kompany, Demichelis, Fernando, Glendon, Barker

Sevilla: Rico; Coke, Andreolli, Rami, Tremoulinas; N'Zonzi, Krychowiak; Konoplyanka, Banega, Vitolo; Gameiro
Subs: Soria, Andreolli, Ferreira, Krohn-Dehli, Reyes, N'Zonzi, Llorente
