Everton striker Enner Valencia has declared that he is eager for a chance to shine during the Christmas period.
The Ecuador international, who is on loan from West Ham United, is hoping that festive fixture congestion will help him secure a run of games in the first team.
"Hopefully I can play more games in this busy time over Christmas," he told the club website. "I really want to be a part of the team and hopefully there will be a lot of rotation with players coming in and out.
"It is always the same when you go to a new club: you have to learn how they want you to operate. It has been different to what I have done previously.
"But when you start to understand what the manager wants from you then it becomes easier and that is how it is going at the moment."
Valencia has played just 48 minutes of Premier League football for Everton and started once during the club's brief League Cup run.
