Sergio Enrich, Borja Berjon dominate as Eibar defeat Getafe

Eibar defeat 10-man Getafe 3-1 in La Liga after a brace from Sergio Enrich and a penalty by Borja Berjon.

Eibar have moved up to sixth in La Liga after a 3-1 win over Getafe.

Alvaro Vazquez came close to giving Getafe the lead in the fifth minute but his powerful shot was stopped by Asier Riesgo.

Sergio Enrich opened the scoring 11 minutes later when a Saul Berjon corner fell kindly for the striker to finish from close range.

It did not take long for Getafe to equalise as Victor Rodriguez finished from 20 yards with just 22 minutes on the clock.

In a dramatic spell, Borja Baston thought he had given Eibar the lead two minutes later but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Enrich scored his second on the half-hour mark when he directed the ball inside the left post.

Eibar went two goals up in the 60th minute when Damian Suarez felled Enrich in the box. Suarez saw red for his challenge and Berjon stepped up to score from the penalty spot.

Gonzalo Escalante nearly put the result beyond doubt in the 69th minute but his shot crashed against the crossbar from the edge of the area.

Eddy Israfilov was next to have a go for Eibar but Vicente Guaita pulled off a diving save to tip the ball around the left post.

Baston tried his luck from the edge of the area late on but his shot was blocked and time was called on the match shortly after.
