Derby County defender Craig Forsyth out for season with ruptured ACL

Derby County confirm that Craig Forsyth has ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the Championship season.

Derby County left-back Craig Forsyth has been ruled out for the rest of the Championship season with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

The Scotland international, 26, was stretchered off during the Rams' 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night and now the club have confirmed the injury.

Head coach Paul Clement told the club website: "It's disappointing for Craig to suffer an ACL injury and he's set to miss the rest of the season.

"It was a freak incident and he'll visit the surgeon in the coming days to be assessed."

Forsyth had made 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
