Chelsea striker Fernando Torres to make early return to action?

Fernando Torres is reportedly closing in on an early return from a knee injury after returning to Chelsea training.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has reportedly given manager Jose Mourinho a fitness boost ahead of a busy fixture schedule.

The Spain international had been expected to be ruled out for a month after suffering a knee ligament injury during the Blues' 3-1 victory over Manchester United on January 19.

According to the London Evening Standard, Torres has returned to training with his teammates and could be fit for Chelsea's trip to face West Bromwich Albion next Tuesday evening.

The West London outfit are currently two points adrift of Premier League leaders Arsenal in the table.
