Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards out for a "few weeks" with knee injury

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett reveals that Dave Edwards is likely to be out for a "few weeks" with a knee injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards is expected to be sidelined for a "few weeks" after suffering a knee injury at the weekend.

The 29-year-old picked up the problem during the first half of the Championship side's goalless draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

"From Saturday, Dave Edwards looks like he will have a spell on the sidelines," head coach Kenny Jackett told the club's official website.

"The tackle in the first half on him was quite a bad one and he has hyperextended his knee which looks like it will be quite a few weeks."

Jackett also confirmed that Emi Martinez, Scott Golbourne and Kortney Hause are all doubts for tomorrow's Capital One Cup tie against Middlesbrough.
