Relations between Tottenham Hotspur duo Daniel Levy and Harry Kane have broken down due to the striker's desire to leave, according to a report.

Harry Kane's relationship with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is said to be 'broken' amid speculation surrounding a summer exit.

The England captain has supposedly told Spurs that he wants to advance his career elsewhere, with the striker set to turn 28 later this year without a major honour at club level.

Levy is understood to be driving a hard bargain for a player he values at £150m, but relations between the two high-profile Tottenham men are not thought to be rosy.

As the club's arduous search for a head coach ultimately led to the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo, The Athletic claims that Tottenham's players were 'barely consulted' during Levy's attempts to land a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho.

The report adds that relations between Kane and Levy are 'pretty much broken' given the striker's intention to leave, although director of football Fabio Paratici has affirmed that he wants to keep the 27-year-old on the books in North London.

Manchester City are thought to be the favourites for Kane's signature, but the striker is currently focused on England's Euro 2020 exploits as the Three Lions prepare for Wednesday's semi-final with Denmark.
