African sides shoot up the FIFA rankings while England remain fifth.

The Africa Cup of Nations has shaken up the FIFA World Rankings, which were updated today.

Champions Zambia, along with Mali and Gabon, have all moved into the top 50.

Zambia rose 28 places into 43rd, while Mali and Gabon now sit 44th and 45th respectively.

Runners-up Ivory Coast remain Africa's highest-ranked nation after moving up three places into 15th.

Spain have retained the crown of best team in the world, while Germany have replaced the Netherlands in second.

England and Scotland remain unmoved at fifth and 48th, while Wales have risen seven places into 42nd.

Republic of Ireland are 20th after rising three places.
