Team News: Garath McCleary faces former club as Reading play Nottingham Forest

Reading winger Garath McCleary faces his former club Nottingham Forest for the first time as the Royals travel to the City Ground for Championship action.

Garath McCleary will come up against Nottingham Forest for the first time since leaving them for Reading when the Royals travel to the City Ground tonight.

The 26-year-old, who spent four years with the Reds between 2008 and 2012, will start on the right wing, and Reading have the returning Hal Robson-Kanu fit to feature on the opposite flank.

In one of two changes made by Nigel Adkins from their 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers, the Welshman replaces Chris Baird in the visiting midfield, while Daniel Williams comes in for Adam Le Fondre.

Forest are forced into making one change, with Dan Harding getting a start at left-back in the absence of captain Chris Cohen, who will miss the remainder of the season with cruciate ligament damage.

Forest: Darlow; Lichaj, Hobbs, Lascelles, Harding; Jara, Lansbury, Majewski, Paterson; Cox, Mackie
Subs: De Vries, Halford, Chalobah, Reid, Abdoun, Henderson, Derbyshire

Reading: McCarthy; Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Kelly; Williams, Guthrie, McCleary, Obita, Robson-Kanu; Pogrebnyak
Subs: Federici, Cummings, Akpan, McAnuff, Blackman, Le Fondre, Sharp
