Goals from Rhys Williams and Marvin Emnes help Middlesbrough claim their first league win in six games, seeing off Derby County at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough claimed their first league win in six games by seeing off Derby at the Riverside this afternoon.

Nigel Clough made an interesting selection for Derby, making 15-year-old Mason Bennett the youngest ever Rams player by starting him up-front.

The home side went ahead on the stroke of half-time when defender Rhys Williams diverted Justin Hoyte's shot past Frank Fielding.

Boro's top scorer Marvin Emnes doubled their lead in the 52nd minute, rising highest to head home a Hoyte cross.

Boro move up to second in the table, two points adrift of Southampton, who have a game in hand, while Derby drop to sixth.
