Marseille agree Abou Diaby deal

Marseille agree a deal in principle to sign former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby.

Marseille have announced that they have agreed a deal in principle to sign former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby.

The 29-year-old was released by the Gunners earlier this summer after spending nearly 10 years with the club.

Diaby recently turned down the chance to join West Bromwich Albion because he was keen to return to his native France.

Ligue 1 side Marseille have now confirmed that Diaby has all but completed a move to the Stade Velodrome.

Diaby has scored one goal in 16 appearances for the French national team.
