Marseille complete Lassana Diarra signing

Former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra completes a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Marseille has moved to secure the signature of midfielder Lassana Diarra.

Diarra had been linked with a return to the Premier League, with West Ham United said to be interested in taking the versatile Frenchman to Upton Park.

However, it has been revealed that Diarra, who last featured for Lokomotiv Moscow, has signed a deal to return to French football next season.

The 30-year-old can count Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid among his former clubs.
