Lassana Diarra ready for Marseille switch?

Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra reportedly closes in on a move to Lige 1 side Marseille.

Lassana Diarra is reportedly on the verge of joining Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Diarra, who has previously played for Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth in the Premier League, has been without a club since leaving Lokomotiv Moscow last year.

The midfielder was close to joining West Ham United in January but saw the switch blocked by FIFA, and the ex-Real Madrid man is now closing in on a return to his homeland, according to French Football.

The 30-year-old has 28 caps for France, but has not played for his national side since 2010.
