Luke Shaw hails Manchester United fans

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw hails the club's supporters for their backing during Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has admitted his disappointment following Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad.

United were reduced to 10 men in the first half of the Premier League clash when Chris Smalling was sent from the field, before Sergio Aguero's strike won it for the home side.

Shaw also reserved special praise for the travelling United contingent, branding their support "insane as always".

"Gutted we couldn't get anything from the game. Was always going to be a tough second half but the ‪@ManUtd fans were insane as always! ‪#MUFC," he tweeted.

Shaw joined United from Southampton this summer.
