Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner is confident that he will combat the danger of winger Arjen Robben in Tuesday's visit of Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
United host Pep Guardiola's men in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie this week.
With regular left-back Patrice Evra suspended, Buttner is expected to deputise in his absence and the Dutchman is convinced that he can minimise the contribution of his compatriot.
"I feel confident about playing them. I know what Arjen Robben can do and I am ready for him," he told reporters.
"I have never played against him before and I haven't watched videos or anything like that to study him but I know enough from what I have seen to know how he plays the game.
"It is not under discussion how good he is! We all know that. This kind of big game is why you play football. It is what it is all about."
The encounter is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.
