Report: Bayern Munich rival Manchester City for Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City could lose out to Bayern Munich in the race to sign Kevin De Bruyne, say reports.

Bayern Munich could beat Manchester City to the signing of Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, according to reports.

The Belgian international has been heavily linked to the former Premier League champions all summer, and reports had suggested that a move was edging closer.

However, The Telegraph claims that Munich could strike a deal with Wolfsburg by allowing the player to remain with the German runners-up next summer, when they will then buy him.

Wolfsburg are reluctant to allow De Bruyne to leave as just seven days remain in the window to replace him, which makes Munich the favourites for the deal.

Paris Saint-Germain have also registered their interest, but are not expected make a move in this window.
