Manuel Pellegrini: 'Sergio Aguero out for more than a week'

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says that Sergio Aguero will be out for at least a week through injury.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that the full extent of Sergio Aguero's injury is not yet known but expects the striker to be out for at least a week.

The Chilean said that Aguero's injury will be further assessed on Saturday, but he is now expected to be out until at least the trip to Arsenal at the end of the month.

"Tomorrow, we will know the extent of Sergio Aguero's injury," he told the club's official Twitter account. "We do not know exactly what is wrong.

"Aguero will be out for more than one week but I don't think it is very serious. Matija Nastasic and Stevan Jovetic are still recovering. Maybe next week they will be fit. Micah Richards also has a problem."

City travel to Hull in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
