Chris Hughton: 'We can beat Manchester City'

Chris Hughton says that Norwich City "have to believe" that they can beat Manchester City.

Chris Hughton has said that his Norwich City players must believe they are capable of beating Manchester City.

The Canaries welcome Manuel Pellegrini's side to Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon seeking revenge for their 7-0 thrashing at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season.

Despite that result, and City's impressive Premier League form, Hughton says that Norwich must approach the match with confidence.

"We look to get points from every game we go into and you always have to believe that you can get something out of any game, no matter how difficult it seems," Hughton told The Mirror.

"So we won't go into the game thinking that we can't win. You have to be confident and believe in what you are doing and I think there's that belief in my players.

"So we are not just writing this game off. There's going to be plenty more surprise results this season and we are more than capable of getting one of them."

Norwich are 15th in the league.
