Aston Villa want to sign Liverpool midfielder Ben Woodburn on a season-long loan, according to a report.

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Ben Woodburn on a season-long loan.

Woodburn is currently with the Reds' squad in the United States, and was a second-half substitute in their 4-1 win over Manchester United in the International Champions Cup on Saturday night.

The seven-time Wales international came through the youth system at Anfield, and has already made 11 first-team appearances for the Merseyside giants, although he appeared just once in the Premier League last term.

Norwich City and Sheffield United have previously been linked with the 18-year-old, and according to Sky Sports News, Villa are also in the hunt ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Villa will open their new Championship season with a trip to Hull City on August 6.
