Aston Villa have reportedly signed Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Andre Moreira on loan for the 2018-19 season.
The 22-year-old has yet to make his Colchoneros debut despite five years on the club's books following his move from Portuguese lower-league outfit Ribeirao.
However, Moreira has clocked up 37 appearances in the Portuguese leagues during five loan periods with the likes of Belenenses and Braga.
According to The Mirror, Moreira was at Bodymoor Heath on Thursday undergoing a medical and will rival Jed Steer for the number one jersey.
The report also claims that the move has been sanctioned by new club owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens in what appears to be their first signing since their arrival at Villa Park.
On Wednesday, Villa's new owners confirmed that manager Steve Bruce will remain in charge at last season's beaten Championship playoff finalists.
