Sean Dyche impressed with Leicester City progression

Burnley manager Sean Dyche admits that he has been impressed with the transformation of Leicester City both on and off the pitch.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has praised the work of both the Leicester City owners and Claudio Ranieri ahead of their trip to the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Last season, the Foxes shocked the sporting world by winning the Premier League title - just five years after a Thailand-based consortium had taken over with the club in mid-table of the Championship - and Dyche has said that he has been impressed with the work that has been done in the East Midlands.

The 45-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I was certainly one lauding Leicester last season for the right reasons and will continue to do so.

"What the manager has done is terrific but what the club has done there is terrific, in my opinion. I've looked at it from the outside-in for a number of years and I think the owners have done fantastic there.

"I know some of the work they've done off the pitch, in the training ground etc, etc and they seem to have been building things for a long time. I think they've done it really, really well."

Burnley currently sit ahead of Leicester in the Premier League table on goal difference.
