Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton: 'We're still in a relegation battle'

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton warns his players that they are not yet safe from relegation.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has insisted that his side are still in a relegation battle after a goalless draw with Huddersfield Town left them in 19th place in the Championship.

The Seagulls are seven points clear of the drop zone with three games left to play, but Hughton is refusing to rest easy until they are mathematically safe.

"The situation is still the same," he told reporters.

"Once you start relying on other teams it makes it difficult. It's very much in our own hands. We are going to Wigan on Saturday needing a positive result."

Brighton have won just once in their last six matches.
